First Swimming Lessonby *Psithyrus

A small wildlife drawing that I enhanced in Photoshop. This scene shows an otter mom who is patiently teaching her reluctant pups how to swim. But the crayfish and cold water are making the pups a little hesitant. This picture is based on a wonderfully cute photo "Otter Mom and Baby" by Moonlightthevampire

Awww this is beautiful ^^ where did you learn to draw otters so well?

she found it on a website, thus the link on the photograph.

Many thanks Alex, I love drawing otters, and it took a lot of practice to get their faces just right, especially their noses and whiskers. I really fell in love with the photo. I visited both the website and Moonlight's gallery. It seemed as if she had rights to the photo, and I had assumed the website might belong to her as well; but of course I could have been mistaken. My apologies

I am working on an children's book and have to make a deadline; Aargghh!. It'll be finished in about 2 weeks, and then I could draw Xela, do ya have any particular species in mind? sea otter? river otter?

Hmm, please go ahead =3 I want to turn Xela's stories into a childrens' learn to read series myself! I don't want to rush you, so please take your time finishing your current project.

Well, Xela is a cross between an otter and a fox, his body shape is like a river otter, but his small ears are pointed, and his tail is white-tipped like a fox =3 that should be very interesting to see in a fantasy/realistic style!
